New Gravity - Call for Session Proposals

We are excited to announce the second annual New Gravity Housing Conference, happening Thursday, August 2nd - Friday, August 3rd at Temple University in downtown Philadelphia.

Green building and sustainability practitioners are invited to submit session proposals for the conference (see form at bottom of page).

The conference is focused on passive design and net-zero energy capable strategies in multi-family affordable housing - read about last year's conference. Sessions should be tied to the conference's focus, but can narrow in on topics such as:

  • Occupant health and wellness
  • Funding strategies
  • Resilient communities
  • Green building policies
  • Codes
  • Rating systems and standards

Collaborative sessions with speakers from different fields are encouraged. Sessions should have at least two presenters as well as representation from at least two different organizations/companies to represent varied perspectives. Sessions will be 60 minutes long (including Q&A). All sessions must be eligible for 1 AIA LU (a one-hour long session); please read over the AIA learning objective guidelines prior to submitting your proposal. Select sessions may be submitted for GBCI credit. If your session is selected, Green Building United will submit your session for credits. This means you do not need to submit your session for CEU approval prior to submitting your session proposal for the conference.

The webform will close at 11:59 pm on Wednesday, May 9, 2018. If you have any questions, please contact Leah Wirgau, Education and Engagement Manager, at lwirgau@greenbuildingunited.org. If you wish to submit presentations and/or additional relevant session materials, please send a DropBox link or .zip file to Leah.

If your session is selected, you will be required to submit course materials, usually in the form of a presentation or slide deck, as early as two months in advance.
