The Philadelphia 2030 District is a private/public partnership working to reduce existing building energy consumption, water use and transportation emissions 50% by 2030.
While the 2030 District is primarily focused on on-site energy use reduction, many of our members have implemented or are interested in advancing solar projects. From Power Purchase Agreements to C-PACE, learn about financing mechanisms and making the case for solar.
Hear from Matt Stern, Senior Director of Commercial Programs at the Philadelphia Energy Authority, who will be starting the session off with information about local and state financing tools available for commercial buildings interested in pursuing solar energy.
We will then hear from Micah Gold-Markel, Founder of Solar States, who will walk us through the steps required for a commercial property to install solar and the different options available, as well as the return on investment both financially and environmentally. Micah will also speak more on the power of solar as a tool for bettering the local economy through skilled workforce development
