Join us to learn about the Living Building Challenge Version 4.0, which calls for the creation of building projects that operate as cleanly, beautifully, and efficiently as nature, striving to move our built environment to a regenerative future!
Whether you are familiar with previous versions of LBC or are new to the party, this evening will be of value to anyone interested in learning about the most rigorous building performance standard and gaining a new way of understanding the world around us, both built and natural, in which we all live, work, and play.
With the release this summer of Living Building Challenge (LBC) Version 4.0, the mission of visionary but attainable design, construction, and operational goals comes into clearer focus while also recognizing that not all projects face the same challenges or share in the same opportunities. LBC 4.0 provides a streamlined approach focused on maximizing a project’s positive impacts specific to its place, community, and culture. As a certification framework, an advocacy tool, and a philosophy, LBC provides a holistic approach to high-performance building that aims to address health, community, materials, equity, energy, water, and beyond.
This event is being organized by the Living Future Community of Green Building United in collaboration with AIA Philadelphia’s Committee on the Environment. In addition to learning about LBC, this event is a great opportunity to engage with both groups and learn about the exciting work we’ve done and have planned for 2020! We invite you to join our efforts in support of a shared sustainable future!
Light fare and drinks will be provided. Worth 2 AIA LUs , 2 GBCI CE hours, and 2 General LFA CE credits.
