The Fahy Commons project, Muhlenberg’s newest building and symbol of the College’s commitment to deep sustainability, is a 20,000 sf multi-purpose academic building pursuing Living Building Challenge Core certification and targeting LEED Platinum certification. The tour will highlight the project’s holistic sustainability measures, including the project’s passive design principles, high-efficient MEP and renewable systems, rainwater harvesting system, low-toxicity and low-embodied carbon materials, zero-energy ready strategies, on-site restoration and carbon sequestration, accessible and biophilic measures, among many other strategies.
