Passive Rowhouse Charrette: HVAC Systems Design

Wed, 3/13/2019 - 6:00pm - 8:00pm

Kieran Timberlake, 841 North American Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123

How do you design the heating and cooling systems for a Passive Rowhouse?

Passive House HVAC system design differs from that of typical HVAC systems for single family residences in a variety of ways. System sizing, equipment type, equipment availability, and creative designs all play a part in the design.

Do you want to hear the good, bad, and ugly about such design? Do you want to learn about what needs to be considered when designing such systems?

If so - join us for this first of a two-part charrette series that will utilize what we have learned to-date about our Passive Rowhouse Project and how to incorporate high performance “Heating and Cooling” systems into the project.

Then come back for the second-part of this charrette this spring when we will focus on ventilation and domestic hot water heating systems.
