What if every building in our region—every school, every apartment complex, every community center—was designed to be energy-efficient, climate-ready, and healthy for the people inside?
That’s the vision behind the Better Buildings Building Hub, a new initiative from Green Building United to help the Greater Philadelphia region lead the way in transforming the built environment.
A One-Stop Resource for Climate-Ready Buildings
Buildings are at the center of some of our biggest challenges, from rising energy costs to poor air quality, to the need for climate resilience against tumultuous weather patterns. With the right support, our region’s buildings can become part of the solution—saving money, improving health, and reducing harmful effects.
The Better Buildings Hub will be a one-stop resource to help building owners, residents, and community partners make that transformation possible.
Whether it’s navigating incentive programs, understanding compliance with emerging building performance standards, or accessing trusted service providers and funding opportunities—the Hub will connect people with the knowledge and support they need to take action.
What to Expect
As development gets underway, here’s what you can expect:
- A new public-facing website and newsletter to make it easy to stay up-to-date.
- A growing library of resources tailored to the needs of building owners, facility managers, and community-based organizations.
- In-person and virtual events to share knowledge, build community, and highlight successful projects.
- Ongoing collaboration with local partners to ensure the Hub stays relevant, responsive, and rooted in the region.
The Hub is just getting started and we want you to be part of it!
