Join CREW Lehigh Valley and Green Building United for an educational guided tour of the Muhlenberg College Arboretum – offering insight into the history, landscape design, and environmental stewardship of one of the region’s most distinctive campus green spaces.
This program provides attendees with an opportunity to learn about the arboretum’s evolving role in campus planning and preservation while engaging with fellow commercial real estate professionals in an informal, outdoor setting. The experience is designed to highlight the intersection of land use, landscape design, and thoughtful site planning within a unique academic environment.
Participants will also have time to connect with CREW Lehigh Valley and Green Building United members throughout the tour, fostering conversation and relationship-building in a relaxed, educational context.
Participants may bring their own lunch or register for a ticket that includes a boxed lunch option.
Graver Arboretum is a research, educational and community recreation facility of Muhlenberg College. The 63 acres have about 4 miles of trails with 3,000 Rhododendrons, 150 different types of conifer trees, 5 ponds and lots of wildlife.
Tom Shotzbarger is a Board Certified Master Arborist, Licensed Tree Expert, Certified Horticulturist, Master Watershed Steward and grounds manager for the Arboretum who will lead the tour, talk about the natural environment and answer your questions. Come join us for a walk in the woods.
