
Each year, the Groundbreaker Awards spotlight the achievements of developers, designers, advocates, and community leaders who are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in high-performance building and sustainable development. Honorees represent a powerful mix of innovation, environmental stewardship, and positive social and economic impact.
This year’s event marks 25 years of Green Building United—honoring long-time members and partners who have shaped our work while looking ahead to the future of green building.

What counts as Green Building United’s region?
Our region covers the following counties: Northampton, Lehigh, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, Philadelphia, Delaware, New Castle, Kent, and Sussex (see map).
What counts as New Construction or Major Renovation?
Any building newly constructed or renovated in the last three years is eligible to be nominated.
What is the deadline for Nominations? Will it be extended?
The deadline for Nominations is July 31st and it will not be extended.
Can I submit multiple nominations?
Yes! The more the merrier.
Can I nominate myself?
Yes!
