This year, our volunteers were tasked with being Room Captains, waste monitors, tech stars, time keepers, picture takers, tour herders (in the rain), problem solvers, and so much more. Their hard work and flexibility helped the Sustainability Symposium be a tremendous success!
Together we:
-
Welcomed over 400 people virtually and in person
-
Acheived a 99% waste diversion rate
-
Lead 4 in-person grounds and facilities tours across The Navy Yard (in the rain!)
-
Utilized new technology that helped launch GBU’s first ever Hybrid Symposium
-
Hosted 20 educational sessions
-
And learned from a FABULOUS Keynote address
Thank you all for your time and talents, and for your interest in working together to make our built environment more resilient, verdant and healthy for all!
We look forward to welcoming you back in 2023!
Check out the awesome work our volunteers are doing outside of GBU!
