Kaetlin McGee

Energy Program Manager

she/her/hers

Kaetlin is Green Building United’s Energy Program Manager. She works closely and collaboratively with GBU team members, supporting the Building Energy Performance Program, Climate Capital Ready Program, Building Energy Benchmarking Programs, and Regional Building Energy HUB. She is obsessed with efficiency and implementing sustainable synergistic strategies that benefit the planet just as much as the stakeholders.

Kaetlin holds a degree in mechanical engineering from SUNY Buffalo, is an Engineer Intern (EI), and holds accreditations with U.S. Green Building Council and the Passive House Institute. Prior to joining GBU, she worked in the power generation industry, providing technical support to plant operators around the world. More recently, she was the Sustainability Program Manager for an architecture firm, focusing her time on LEED, healthy material selection, and fostering a sustainable office culture. When Kaetlin is not preaching about energy modeling and right-sizing HVAC equipment, she can likely be found watching Saturday Night Live or the Buffalo Bills with her husband and two cats. Kaetlin volunteers her time with AIA’s Committee on the Environment, Rabbit Recycling, and The Bethesda Project.
