As Communications & Engagement Manager at Green Building United, Madyson leads strategic communications, digital engagement, and event marketing initiatives that connect and grow the organization’s network. They oversee the organization’s digital platforms, website management, email communications, brand storytelling, and public-facing campaigns in order to ensure that community members, partners, and stakeholders stay informed and engaged.
Madyson plays a central role in planning and executing large-scale events and educational programming, managing communications strategy and collateral across sponsor engagement, speaker coordination, digital event systems, signage, marketing toolkits, and attendee experience. Their work emphasizes accessibility, clarity, and community-centered design. Their goal is to help translate complex sustainability and climate topics into messaging that is approachable, actionable, and inclusive.
In addition to overseeing organizational communications, Madyson supports regional communications strategy initiatives that strengthen collaboration across the sustainability sector. They currently help lead a grant-supported communications project in partnership with peer organizations across the region to develop a regional communications framework designed to elevate collective impact, strengthen public engagement, and support long-term funding and visibility for sustainability initiatives.
With an educational background in communications, cultural anthropology, and political science, Madyson brings an intersectional perspective to their work, recognizing how cultural and societal dynamics shape public engagement. Rooted in LGBTQ+ advocacy and inclusive outreach, they are committed to building communications strategies and community spaces that center equity, accessibility, and belonging.
