they/them
Based in unceded Lenapehoking territory (Philadelphia), Stasia works alongside people within communities to identify shared priorities and act collectively to build a more equitable world. Their work cultivates through-lines from ideation to implementation as a facilitator of resident-led programming in a community development context with responsibilities including: grant writing, implementation, and reporting; curriculum development and instruction; communications; and building relationships that leverage resources to enhance local quality of life. They value practicing dialogue and deep listening among people of many identities, embracing creative thinking, and celebrating each other’s strengths. Their early career serving students and families through Philadelphia’s public education sector and volunteering in liberatory LGBTQ+ and human rights spaces continue to inform their commitment to intersectional justice. Stasia serves as the NAC Program Director at HACE CDC, where they lead Community Engagement Department efforts; a Steering Committee member of the HERE 4 Climate Justice coalition; and a Board member of Philly Community Wireless, Historic Fair Hill, and the Philadelphia Assembly. Stasia holds a BA in English Literature (SUNY Geneseo) and an M.S.Ed in Secondary English Instruction (University of Pennsylvania).
