
Zakkiyyah Barron
Zakkiyyah serves as the Building Performance Standards (BPS) Policy Fellow, at Green Building United. Here she is helping drive policy solutions that support a more sustainable built environment. She partners with the Policy Director and Green Building United staff to advance Building Performance Standards legislation in Philadelphia while contributing to the organization's Climate Ready Capital Projects, Building Energy Performance, and Regional Benchmarking programs.
A graduate of Virginia Tech, Zakkiyyah earned her degree in Natural Resource Management and Leadership in Global Sustainability and holds a LEED Green Associate credential from the U.S. Green Building Council. Beyond her professional work, she is committed to community service through her involvement with Montgomery County's Sustainability and Energy Efficiency Subcommittee and Phoenixville's Human Relations Commission.
