This demonstration session is for designers, owners, and team members exploring sustainable lighting options. It focuses on analyzing daylighting and the energy-efficiency of designs using Revit’s Insight, thus helping guide design choices and create documentation for LEED V4/4.1 and 5. Participants will learn the importance of daylighting in architecture and how it contributes to occupant wellness, reduced energy use, and other sustainability goals. The session covers daylighting strategies, illuminance, Spatial Daylight Autonomy (sDA), and Annual Sunlight Exposure (ASE), and includes making design modifications for better results. No advanced knowledge is required, though familiarity with architectural lighting and basic Revit use is helpful. By the end, participants will be able to define daylighting strategies, use Revit Insight for analysis, and generate LEED-compliant documentation, supporting sustainability by improving building performance and occupant well-being.
