Join the Living Future Community for a deep discussion about the origins of our regional wood products and their environmental benefits in the forests and in our built environment. This event will provide insights from experts about what makes a healthy forest ecosystem, how regional forest are managed and what sustainable harvesting looks like, as well as how FSC certification programs can be integrated into those practices to provide wood products throughout our projects. We’ll even take a video tour of a commercial forest! Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Calvin Norman is passionate about helping forests be the best they can be by educating landowners, agencies, and those who interact with the outdoors about forests and wildlife, management, forest carbon, climate change, and other matters that impact forest.
Darick Graham is currently the Vice President of Sawmill Operations at Bingaman & Son Lumber. Darick has the lumber business in his blood, his family members have done pretty much everything in the business from owning and operating sawmills to working as loggers, Darick was born in Liberty PA and got his Forest Technology Degree from Penn College in Williamsport. He started as a Forest Technician at Bingaman’s right out of school and has ascended the ranks before becoming VP of Sawmills in 2021.
During his career Tom has worked as a land management forester for both public and private forestland owners as well as in wood procurement across the United States. Tom is a member of the Society of American Foresters and an SAF Certified Forester. Before joining FSC US, he worked for Domtar Paper Company as a procurement forester at the Kingsport, TN papermill. Tom is a graduate of Humboldt State University in Arcata, California where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Forestry and a Master of Science in Natural Resources.
Andy Dalzell works in Specialty Products at Bingaman & Son Lumber, particularly in the development and sales of thermally modified hardwoods. Andy joined Bingaman’s after working in the Pennsylvania State Legislature as Chief of Staff to a State Representative. With a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Andy began his career as a community organizer in South Philadelphia.
